Establish God in the North-East. It should be in such a way that the worshipper may get complete opportunity to sit facing to the North. If it is not possible then sit sacing the North-East and if it is also not possible then site facing to the East.

In the middle of the North, Laxmi  or Kuber ( the goodess of wealth ) and in middle of the South Pitars (departed persons of the family), son or late parent's photograph may be established.

It has been considered proper to lit a light in the Southern part. In the North-East avoid establishment of the heavy statues of God or construction of heavy temple because in future they start causing obstructions to happiness. In the case of Pran Pratishtha ( establishing life in the statues of God ) its service worship, recitation of religious regularly which is not followed properly in most of the cases and is least expected in these times. Therefore as far as possible, Pran Pratishatha ceremoney should be avoided and the worship can be done daily or according to the convenience, outside the house in some temple.

The North-East corner of the constructed part of the land is choosen for establishing the place of worship. Actually this position is wrong. Planning according to the principles of Vastu only in the constructed part of the land is not supported by any scripture.
